Wooden Frech Door Lock and Knobs

I need help selecting door locks for my main entry wooden French door. I've been looking online, not sure if they all for single door or double/French doors. Please advise.

Thanks

Hello Pri and welcome to the Community!

Most if not all locks can be used on either single or double doors. When it comes to entry door locks, if you have 2 holes in your door then just make sure the kit you get has a deadbolt and a knob or lever.

In the picture below of double doors, the left side is the main active door, this door typically has the deadbolt as well as a handleset or knob. In this scenario, the left door is the door that you open most often, but the door to the right can be opened by moving the slide bolts, those are either hidden in the edge of the door or can be on the surface.

The picture below shows duplicate kits, even though you are using all of the parts such as the latch plates, 2 kits would need to be purchased, even though only one side is locking.

Please post pictures of your door if you need further info on choosing a door lock.
