attach vise

How do I attach a 6-1/2 inch Light Duty Pony woodworker's  vise to a workbench.  Is there anyplace I can get guide?  Looked on Pony and Home Depot sites already.

Woodworking vises are generally attached so that the top edge of the jaws are flush or slightly below the surface of the workbench.  Although the vise you chose doesn't have one, many have a retractable dog that's used in conjunction with bench dogs to hold pieces flat on the workbench surface.

For your vise, the screws would go through the face of the vise jaw and into the edge of your workbench and through the tabs on the back of the vise jaw into the bottom of your workbench.  Depending on your workbench, you may need to add additional material to make the top thicker where you want to attach the vise.  Especially for the screws going into the edge, you'll want to drill and appropriately sized pilot hole to avoid splitting the edge.
