Hi Donstentoes,

The main changes will include moving the drain plumbing to accommodate the tub, either a right hand or left hand drain and tub overflow.

The shower valve will have to be moved down to tub level and a provision for a tub spout will have to be installed. This is a good time to replace all of the piping and valves.

The hot and cold water supplies will also have to be moved as well.

I would have a plumber do this work, if an error is made and not discovered prior to installing the walls, fixing it could be a major expense.

In addition make sure all new work is up to code, as your insurance company may not cover your loss if the new work fails and was not completed per the building code.

Let us know how it works out.
