Hello GaryD,

Welcome to the community.

Blind nailing is when a nail is driven into the grove part of any tongue and groove material. The most common application for blind nailing is wood flooring installation.

They are driven at roughly a 45 degree angle into the grove. They normally are driven in with either an electric or pneumatic hammer or stapler. It can be done with a hammer and nail set but most hardwood flooring are too hard and needs to be done with the added help of a pneumatic or electric hammer.

I hope this has answered your question on blind nailing.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I would love to help
