changing bulbs on kitchen ceiling light fixture

I have an older 1-1/2 ft. x 4 ft. overhead fluorescent ceiling fixture with wood molding with bulbs out. It's been a long time since anyone last worked on this and I don't want to break the acrylic, dropped dish diffuser. I  can't see how this is supposed to open to clean or change bulbs. Any instructions out there? thanks

Hello danao and welcome to the community!

I did some digging and without know your specific manufacture or model, this is what I found;

Look for a small screw or screws on the ends of the fixture. They go through the wooden frame into the base. Be careful, when the screws are removed the frame is free to come down, so you may need a extra person to help you hold up the frame.
