faux tin panels

can faux tin panels used for ceilings be used to cover dishwashers/ovens/microwaves????  can i use the double stick tape or should i try liquid nails or contact cement?  any issues with using this medium and having problems with steam(dishwasher) and heat (oven)  any suggestions would be super!  thanks!!

Hello Ally93!

 

Without going into great detail about your project, I see two basic considerations:

 

1) The tin panels will need some form of finished edge ... I'm certain you can improvise since you've already come up with this unique idea; and

2) If you choose double-stick tape, select the one that appears red ... the tape is actually gray and the peel-off backing is red. This tape is made for exterior applications and will hold more weight. It will stand up to the moisture and some heat as well.
