Hey kathryn823,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the community!

I've seen that remote controls can go out, specifically the receiver in the fan. However, since the fan works fine, have you changed out the light bulbs that came with the fan?

If you didn't, the Compact Fluorescent Bulbs that came with your fan aren't dimmable according to the manual for your fan. Even turning on the bulbs at a high setting won't work on these bulbs, unless they are a dimmable type.

So, try out a bulb that can be dimmed. This can mean the CFL dimmable bulbs as described above, or any incandescent or halogen bulb.

I'm assuming you just installed the receiver and remote, so I'm thinking everything is fine there. Try out a dimmable bulb, and let us know if this worked out for you.

Let me know if this has assisted you,

Joseph
