how do you clean stain off terrazzo flooring that is 48 years old

Hey dottie,

 

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community!

 

It's not so much the age of the floor, but what kind of stain the terrazzo floor is that will determine how it can be cleaned effectively.

 

If the stain was food or liquid (red sauce or red wine), and it has been there a while, you may need to use something along the lines of a poultice to help with the discoloration. These work by driving the stain down into the tile, since it can't be removed.

 

At the end of the day, it leaves you with possibly a trace amount of the stain left....but better than what is was before. Again, depending on the stain will determine how and if it can be removed.
