Hey firstbatt,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community!

Installing a floor warming mat under your hardwood floors can be achieved, but just like any product, you'll need to read the manufacturer's instructions on how to properly put it down.

At least with our in-stock SunTouch Floor Warming Mat systems, you'll need to plan out the layout of where the mat(s) will go, start with the rough-in on the electrical source to power it, and prep the floor before installing it.

A good do and don't list is found below, obtained from the SunTouch Floor Mat Installation Instructions.

Make sure you read the instructions highlighted in orange above to find out exact information you'll need for your heating system. Since you didn't give the subfloor type, size of area you want heated, or if you have electrical would be imperative you read this and then ask any further questions you may have.

Let me know after reading the instructions if you have any further questions or concerns; we'll be more than happy to answer them for you.
