Hi eslengelke,

Thank you for your question and welcome to our community.

The easiest way to attach a quartz top to the top portion of your sewing machine would be to use a "Loctite" glue on the base of the machine and then press the quartz base onto the base.  Be sure that both surfaces are clean and free of debris.

Does your table still have the sewing machine on it?  If so, you will  need to make a cut  in the new top if you want to have the "hidden" feature that this type of machine comes with.

There  are two basic types of frames.  One with two mounting nodules and one with 3 on each side. MyGrandmotherhadonejustlikethepictureontheupperright.  ItisstillsomewhereinoraroundST. Paul, Minn.

What you will do depends on your skill level.  If the quarts top is thick enough, you can counter sink holes to match the mounting nodes on the sewing machine frame and then use the Loctite construction glue to adhere the new top to the table.

The other way would be to use a piece of 1X2 the same depth as the new top, counter sink the holes into the wood, attach the wood furring strip to the table, allow this to dry and then glue the new top to the furring strip.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
