I am assuming you are talking about an undermount sink. If it was installed properly, it has physical supports from the underside.  The "glue" which is seen is probably just the caulk, usually silicone, that is put on the sink flange during installation. If you are just looking at loose caulking, it can be dug out and replaced. If it is silicone, ALL residue must be removed as new silicone won't stick to old residue. Unfortunately, there is no good solvent for this. It has to be mainly abraided with 3M type scrubby pads.

 

If the sink is literally sinking away from the counter, you need to check out the supports underneath and re-secure them.
