Hello unico,

Thank you for your question and welcome to the community!

Since you didn't tell us what type of fluorescent lights or photocell you want to install, we can't go farther in terms of getting a solution for you.

Actually, most fluorescent lights won't work on photocells, due to the eye making the fixture flicker during times where the light changes from light to dark (and vice versa). This may not be a problem you notice right way, but the photocell can prematurely kill the bulb by helping shortening its life.

With that said, I would not install or use a photocell on your fixture, unless it states you can use a fluorescent light on it.

If you let us know what kind of fixture you have, or upload a picture for us, then this will greatly assist us.

Another alternative would be placing a timer on the circuit so you effectively have a working light.

Let us know what fixture you have, and we can go from there.
