how to measure a floor for vinyl tile

I want to replace a floor in kitchen with the  vinyle title - Model PNGB - Ocean Shale.  The kitchen is about 25 x 25.

Do you have any other other tiles that are held togehter by an over locking sticky joint in stead of a Butt Joint.

Hello deharvey and welcome to The Community.  We are glad that you are here.

The Place N' Go Ocean Shale 18.5 in. x 18.5 in. Interlocking Waterproof Vinyl Tile with Built-In Underlayment (Model # PNGB-OCEANSHALE) has a "zipper" interlock ensures that tiles come together easily for a durable and glue-less installation.

You will need to first calculate the square footage of your room (length times width).  Then add 10% extra for cuts and future repairs.  (Add 15-20% overage if you will be installing a diagonal pattern.)

For your kitchen:

     This room is 25 feet by 25 feet = 25 x 25 = 625 square feet (sq ft)

     10% overage = 625 x 1.1 = 688 sq ft needed in total

Each case of tile covers 19.04 sq ft

     688 sq ft / 19.04 sq ft per case = 36 cases

You should plan to purchase 36 cases of tiles.

You can check out the installation guide and maintenance guide for installation and upkeep instructions.

The TrafficMaster Allure Vinyl Tile Flooring is a water-resistant flooring that installs using the GripStrip installation and is ideal for use in high-moisture areas, such as your kitchen.

Best wishes on your project.
