how to remove granite countertop sealer

HI,

I seal uba tuba black granite countertop with the advise of  one of your employees in tile center.

I found out I don't really need to seal because black UBA TUBA is pretty much water resistant.  I apply sealant and the countertop became hazy. Doesn't how much I try to make it wont shine anymore

How do I remove sealant?

Melony

Hello Kuohome and thank you for your question.

It sounds like the haze on your countertop is excess sealant that has dried on the granite.  Thirty (30) minutes after application, the excess sealer should have been removed from the surface with a clean dry white terry cloth towel.  The haze is probably sealant that was not thoroughly removed.  To remove the excess sealant that dried on the surface, spray more sealer onto the granite and wipe off immediately with a clean dry white terry cloth towel.

Please keep us posted on your progress and best wishes on your project.
