interior barn doors installation

When installing interior barn doors, is there a track or guide at the bottom to prevent the doors from swinging and hitting the wall?

Hey Pdowe,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community.

Most barn doors, due to their weight and construction, won't pose too large of a problem with themselves hitting the wall where they are installed, if at all.

It technically wouldn't be a true barn door if it did have a bottom track, but there are various door kits available online that are customizable and can suit your needs.

Let us know if you have any further questions,

Joseph

Hello Pdowe and welcome to the Community

Most, if not all, of the Interior barn doors carried by The Home Depot do have a floor mounted guide that keep it from swinging into the room  or into the wall.  Look at the installation instructions for more details.  If you are missing this piece contact the Manufacture and they will probably send that hardware out to you.  Or ask for assistance from the Millwork department at your local Home Depot.  Please have your make and model information available.  Or share that information with us and we will try to get contact information for you.

Thank you for your inquiry.
