paver path

How close together should paver stones, the irregular ones be placed apart.  If the purpose of the path, is for everyone to walk there, rather than the grass, I want to make sure that the pavers are placed comfortably for all to use.

Hey iluvallmykids53,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community!

Depending on how close you get your irregular paver stones together will determine what kind of materials to use to help keep them in place.

For example, very small (1/4" or smaller) gaps can be filled in with paver sand to fill in the cracks left between the pavers.

For larger gaps, you can use a mixture of sand as well as small crushed stones to reduce the possibility of movement from your pavers.

If your pavers are on a slope or in an area where water runoff is abundant, you may need to reapply the sand/stones occasionally.

I hope this information has assisted you, and let us know if you have any further questions.

Cheers,

Joseph
