Hello pattyd. Ken here in the Chicago area. Welcome to the Community!!!

The area that you are paving is 10’x10’ = 100 sq. ft. or “A”.

The area of each paver is 15.75”x15.75” = 248.0625 sq.in. which divided by 144

sq. in. (sq. ft.) = 2 sq. ft. or “P”.

A divided by P = 50 pavers minus the .0625.

If you need the paved area to be a square, then 7x7=49. Forget the 50th paver and plan

accordingly.

Let us know how it goes.
