proper adhesive for marble vanity top.

I recently purchased a double sink vanity with marble top from HD.   I used GE Silicone ii to attach the top and sinks.
The silicone never cured and "green bloom" stains began appearing after a few days along edges and around the sink.

I have used a bleach and torch technique to both sides of the marble and have been able to remove the stains.

Obviously, I don't want to go through this again so what is the exact product to use that won't expose me to the dreaded "green bloom" stain.

thank you.

Hey jschmons,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community.

The 'green bloom' occurred since the silicone reacted with the elements found in the marble vanity.

You can opt for a water-based version of adhesive, but do NOT go back with using silicone, as that will be history repeating itself.

Here online and at your local Home Depot, we sell vanity adhesives that won't give chemical issues with your top.

Let us know if you have any further questions,
