Hello shortduck.  Welcome to the Community!

The major factor in choosing a nap size will be the smoothness/roughness of the area being painted.

For heavily textured walls, this would be a 3/4" nap.

Most of the time this will provide the best coverage, as the paint sheen for walls is typically flat, eggshell or satin.

Semi-gloss and gloss paint have much more finely ground pigments, and if you are using them then step down the nap size to 1/2" to minimize sag.

Is this what you are looking for?

Chris.
