toilet problems

my toilet flaunge is not stopping water from flowing causing overflows

Hi Sluiz,

 

The toilet floor flange is designed to hold the toilet in place and does not act as a seal.

 

A wax ring must be positioned between the flange and the bottom of the toilet bowl to prevent leaks.

 

This will prevent leaks at the base of the toilet bowel.

 

If you toilet is overflowing, there is a blockage in the drain line and it should be cleared with a plumbers snake.
