unistalling old vanity light

When removing my old vanity light I found that the wires lead right into the 3 light sockets of the old vanity not wire nuts. I dont know how to remove these?

Hey ladybluevi,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community!

I've seen a lot of vanity lights have a back plate that hides the back of the actual socket connections even after the fixture has been taken off the wall.

Sometimes they are screwed on the top and bottom of the fixture, sometimes the back. If you have a plate like this, you can remove it so the wires that are connected can be removed.

If you don't have a back plate, you can always opt for cutting the wires as close as possible to the hole leading to the sockets. Just make sure the power is always off when working with any electrical devices and fixtures.

6-1/4 in. Wire Stripper/Cutter

Please let me know if you have any further questions,

Joseph
