why every "best drywall anchor" installed very well, fails to hold coats?

why every "best drywall anchor" installed very well, fails to hold coats?  I put up a coat hook, using the top of the line philips 76 lb screw-in anchors and still the coat hook is loose within a couple of days?

Hi donman,

The E-Z anchors have a plastic screw in anchor designed for installation of static items such as pictures or mirrors. Constant motion such as hanging coats will cause them to work loose, as the plastic is just wedged into the drywall.

E-Z Anchors wedge into the drywall and will pull out.

I would recommend  Wing-It anchors, this anchor expands and locks onto the backside of the drywall and will not work loose. They hold up to 300 pounds and are permanent. You will have to drill a larger hole for these but the results will be much better.

Wing-It Anchors expand inside the wall and are permanent.

I used these to hang a flat screen TV with a swivel wall mount and they worked very well, no problems. I think the Wing-Its will solve your problem.
