wont go forward

I have a hampotn bay ceiling fan that is in reverse mode with no switch on the fan. I don't know what model fan it is and I don't have the means to take the fan apart to find the upc code. I will post pics of the fan and remote could someone please tell me how to get this going forward?

Thanks for your question and for joining us here on the community.


Usually with Hampton Bay ceiling fans in your design, there usually is a reverse switch on the top of the motor housing. 


However, if it isn't up there (and while you are up there), obtain the UPC/SKU/Model No. of the fan from the sticker that is located in that spot above the motor.


With that number, contact Hampton Bay in the number below.

If you do need a new remote/receiver replacement, you can do so by contacting them first. See after ordering it or obtaining one from your local Home Depot store. 


Replacing a receiver luckily means NOT to take down your ceiling fan; just the canopy that holds it up in the ceiling.
