Today I bring with me a great gift-- a video of yours truly! Okay, well it actually is a whole lot more than just that actually. Recently I had a customer come into my store having problems shortening down her faux wood blinds. After giving a brief walkthrough on what to be ready for and a glance over the instructions, she was still confused. So we grabbed a box off the shelf and sat down, going step-by-step through the process. She was thrilled to finally understand it, and now I want to share that feeling with you all!
Now the way that I demonstrate in the video is my own little method. There are other ways to do it out there, mainly involving hanging the blinds and cutting the slats off all at once. However I've grown attached to the way that I do it, so take this only as a tutorial as one possible way, but not the only way. It's what's easiest for me and hopefully easiest for you all as well!
Okay....now let's say that you gotten really ambitious and gotten our new Premium Faux Wood blinds with the 2 1/2" slats. They operate the same, but the shortening differs a bit for these style of blinds. But worry not fans!...I've got you covered here too. Keeping the same tools that I used to shorten down the other faux woods, I move on to showing you how to take care of the premium style...
Not too bad eh? Have you ever had a disastrous time shortening down blinds in your own hose, or perhaps you have a different way that you like to shorten blinds? Share them with us! Leave some comments in the comment box and we can discuss =)
