Hey everyone, thanks for stopping in
Hope everyone has had a great new year so far! Any interesting resolutions to share? I myself continue to use the same old resolution that I always do each year without fail: try and kick my salt habits. I do really good for about a week or so of not seasoning my food with it, but then I realize that I can't taste anything at all, and well...temptation kicks in and it seems my stomache wins over my brain yet again. I'm sad to say that I already gave in, and it's only the 6th day of the year Hopefully the rest of you are more steadfast than I with your resolutions, and that you keep to them!
Also, did anyone go all out this year with their holiday redecorating? Did and parents come into town and send you into a panic over getting those sheets off the windows and something more suitable up there? Out by me in the Chicago area, we had a pretty decent amount of people coming in for their "holiday scramble" as I call it at our store. This was really nice to see, since I know in years past it has been pretty low key as far as spending goes, and sometimes new blinds or an update to the floor isn't always #1 on everyones list. It was also nice to see lots of families coming together to pickout their new decorations and seeing everyone get involved, all the way down to the little kids too!
Now that all the holidays are winding down, and we're into the New Year, it's time to focus on care and maintenance for our newly purchased items. You've got that beautiful new hardwood floor installed and the in-laws loved it when they stopped by...but now how do you care for it? Or perhaps you've got those new wood blinds put up that we're the showstopper of the holidays, but now the dust is starting to pile up and you're left trying to think of how to clean them? Let's share some good care tips that you have for your floors or walls! Maybe some neat tips that you picked up from a family member, or something interesting you read in a magazine that helps keep your house spotless now. I invite you all to share with our community your helpful tips, as well as to reach out for help with cleaning and care in case you've been left in the lurch now.
To get us started off, here's one of my personal tips on keeping cellular blinds clean. I share this with all my customers that come into the store, and now I share it with you. It might not be a radical new theory, but hopefully it helps at least a few of your out there
Now let's get posting on those tips and questions! Thanks for reading, and I'll see you all around the community
