I recently installed 2 Hamptom Bay Carriage House 52" ceiling fans. One's whisper quiet and one rthymically hums. Guess which one is in the bedroom. What can I do to quiet this fan down?

Sorry to hear that your fan is keeping you up. There are a few possibilities that it can be. If you are using a variable control switch (dimmer switch) this is often a creator of humming and can often be cured by replacing with another switch or remote. Before doing this, make sure that the screws on motor housing are tight and the blades are secured tightly. An unbalanced, wobbly fan can cause humming and can be corrected with a balancing kit, which The Home Depot has for a couple bucks. Double check the wire nuts to assure that they have not come loose as well. Also make sure the light bulbs are screwed in tight.
If none of this works then it tells me that the built in capacitor is not working 100%. If it is unbearable, then the only other alternative is to return the fan and let us replace it for you.
The most likely culprit, if you have one, would be the variable control switch.
