On my recently installed hampton bay ceiling fan, the light quit working. For a short period, if I pulled the switch twice, the light would come on and stay on. Now when I pull the switch, the light comes on briefly and then goes off. I replaced the switch but no cigar, same problem. the fan SKU# 844 854.

Hell CrashBob, I just have two things to try. In the light socket there is a small tab in the very bottom that the tip of the light bulb touches. Make sure that is sticking up a little....Sometimes this tab gets pushed down to far and it doesnt make contact with the bulb.
Check your Hot and Nuetral connections at the ceiling and make sure they are secure. If they are not making good connection the fan motion can vibrate an lights will go on and off.
Just a couple things to try on your own.
