We purchased a Hampton Bay light fixture (no fan) and a supplemental remote control for it (also Hampton Bay). Twice now, we have set the code in the receiver and after we keep the light on for more than a couple of hours, the code in the receiver drops back to the factory setting of all 4 numbers set to the off position. This leaves us unable to control the light fixture, as the light is not wired to a wall switch. Anyone know why this could be happening? It's really a pain because the light fixture is 18 ft up!

Thanks for reaching out, JMDonnelly.
Our Hampton Bay customer service team can help you troubleshoot the issue, determine what part is causing the problem & help you order it if needed or get technical support for you. They will need the 12 digit UPC (looks like 123456-123456), is found on a sticker on the top of the fixture (also on receipt & barcode on box). I've attached a picture of the sticker the UPC/SKU is on (on our fans, but the UPC is the same format yours would be on the light) so you can find it easily.
If this cannot be located, a picture of the fixture will be needed to identify, then we can get you to the correct team to troubleshoot the issues.
Please give our Hampton Bay team a call after you locate this information, they will assist you to resolution.
