Is it possible to convert ceiling fan with a down rod to a ceiling hugger??

Thanks for your question and welcome to the community!
It is possible to remove the down rod for your ceiling fan to make it a flush-mount (ceiling hugger) fixture...provided the fan has the existing components to make it happen.
A good majority of fans w/ down rods out there are able to do this, but refer to the steps and images below to see if your fan has these parts.
The key here is making sure your fan has the screws on top of the motor housing to match up the holes on the bottom of the canopy, located above the downrod. As stated before, most fans with downrods can be coverted to a flush mount but make sure those screws and screwholes are there first so it can be changed out.
