You know it’s the start of the holiday season when the Christmas trees arrive in the stores! They are always a welcome sight and the smell of fresh pine and fir (available in my area) is so fragrant. Once you have selected the perfect tree, keeping it lush, green, and fragrant will be a snap by following a few simple tips.
This link will help you purchase the best fresh cut and live Christmas trees.
When you get your tree home, place it in an appropriate tree stand. The stand will state the tree size that it can accommodate. Your tree will be thirsty, so give it plenty of water. The stand may need to be refilled several times on the first few days so check it often. Throughout the holiday season, check the water level daily. A special preservative will help keep the tree lovely – be sure to follow the instructions on the bottle for best results. Finally, use a tree bag for taking your tree easily and debris-free to the recycling center.
Do you have a special tip for keeping trees long lasting and beautiful throughout the holiday season? Please share your ideas with us – and be sure to send photos of your Christmas tree. Happy Holidays!
