Liquid weed-n-feeds work as little faster than the dry. Water 2 days later to wash it off the leaves. The kids and dogs have to stay off the grass untill its is dry, much better than tramping in the small granules.
Depending on what kind of lawn you have, you can use weed-b-gone plus crabgrass control or Bayer Lawn weed and Crabgrass control. You can feed the lawn 2 weeks after you have sprayed with an all purpose fertilizer , again liquid is a bit faster that dry.If uyou use scotts starter fertilizer you can then plant your seeds right away.
