lysol bowl cleaner that hangs on rim of toilet,,,fell in & got flushed,,,cloged toilet///drains slowly///toilet paper only no sewerage.... can i auger ? which do you recommend?.mike

My guess is that the article never got past the trap in the toilet itself. There is room for the auger snake to get by it, but not snag it. The same thing happens when things like pencils get stuck in the trap. Water will pass by, but solids get hung up. The solution is to pull the toilet bowl. You should then have access to the stuck item.
You will need to shut off the water at the valve uder the toilet. Flush the toilet to get rid of the water in the tank. Bail out the remaining water in tank and in bowl. Remove the flange bolts which hold down the bowl to the floor. Now the complete bowl and tank should be able to be lifted off and set on its side, giving access to the toilet trap. When replacing the toilet, you will need a new toilet ring.
