Clean up before the holiday guests show up

‘Twas the weekend before Thanksgiving,
Just look at your space!

“Guests will be coming –
We must clean up this place!”

It is that time of year again – the holidays!  Family and friends will be coming to visit and your home will be center stage.  Cleaning is critical for your holiday success, whether serving the turkey dinner (don’t forget the leftovers) or hosting the football stay-home-gate party.

Successful cleaning starts with a few necessities including paper towels, sponges, broom and dust pan, mop, bucket, squeegee, and a handy caddy to carry cleaners between rooms.

Wear gloves appropriate for your task, safety glasses or goggles as needed, and have a dust mask handy if things are really dirty.

Since there are so many places to clean and so little time to do it, check out our cleaning articles that focus on the three (3) major areas of your holiday weekend entertaining: outside, inside, and of course, the kitchen.  There are great new innovations as well as tried-and-true products to get your home spiffy in a jiffy:

* Clean up outside before the holiday guests arrive

* Clean up inside before the holiday guests arrive

* Clean up the kitchen before the holiday guests arrive

Best wishes and Happy Thanksgiving!
