The eyes have it – eye protection is always in fashion

Recently I was watching one of those popular Do-It-Yourself/ House Flipper programs.  The homeowner had a great deal of optimism and enthusiasm for his new project but was sorely lacking in safety procedures.  In fact, one of his buddies had to be taken to the hospital for stitches in his leg – the result of an accident while tearing out the kitchen.

Whether you are starting a major renovation project, painting a wall, cleaning with strong chemicals, blowing leaves, using a chainsaw, or any other of a hundred other indoor or outdoor activities, please remember to use proper protective equipment – starting with your eyes.

It only takes a moment to protect your eyes.  Safety glasses have impact-resistant lenses that offer front and side protection against eye damage and airborne debris.  Safety sunglasses can provide safety and style.

While working on your project, be sure to also wear appropriate hand and ear protection as needed.

Stay safe.
